Luyang Zhang, Professor of Finance (Teaching-Track) at International School of Finance, Fudan University; Director of China Venture Capital Research Center at Fudan University; Director of Research Center for Modern Corporate Governance at Fudan University.

Professor Zhang is an expert member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Shanghai Stock Exchange for three terms. He is currently the Vice President of China Modern Financial Society, Vice President of China Venture Capital Association, Distinguished Expert of China University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of Ministry of Education, Vice President of Fudan University Alumni Association, Executive President of Fudan University Postdoctoral Alumni Association, etc. He is also the postdoctoral supervisor of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Bank of Communications, Shenwan Hongyuan Securities, Guotai Junan Securities, Guangdong Yuecai Group, Suzhou Guofa Group and other financial institutions.

In 2000, Professor Zhang founded China Venture Capital Research Center at Fudan University, the first research institution specializing in venture capital in China. He has been in charge of more than 30 research projects of various kinds, including: Scientific research projects of the National Social Science Foundation, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on scientific and technological innovation and entrepreneurship, venture capital, and the financial system of scientific and technological innovation; Research projects of Shanghai Stock Exchange on the innovation and development of the capital market; Research projects on venture capital solutions in Shanghai, Chengdu, Guizhou, Harbin, etc.; Research projects commissioned by venture capital institutions and science and technology enterprises. Prof. Zhang has published many books, including “The Foundation of Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, “Introduction to Venture Capital”, “American Venture Capital Limited Partnership”, “Research on the Theory and Practice of Entrepreneurial Portfolio Investment”, “Research on the Innovation and Exploration of Venture Capital in China”, “Research on the International Experience of Venture Capital Development”, “Research on Value-added Services of Venture Capital: Theory and Practice”, “Research on Venture Capital Market System”, and “Research on Multi-level Capital Market: Theory, International Experience and China's Practice”, etc. Professor Zhang put forward the view that venture capital is a financial support system, established the "venture capital theory of entrepreneurial portfolio Investment", innovated the "risk analysis method of entrepreneurial portfolio Investment" and invented 5 software copyrights of related risk analysis.

Entrusted by Fudan University, Professor Zhang served as the chairman of Fudan Fuhua Technology Co., LTD. (SHSE:600624) from 2015 to 2017. He was one of the five drafters of “Opinions of The State Council on Policies and Measures to Promote Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. Since 2016, he has been invited to be a guest of the supporting team of "Entrepreneurial Heroes Gathering" of China Central Television Financial Channel, and has recorded 28 programs. His case study "Shanghai Pudong Science and Technology Investment Co., Ltd.: December 2014" was included in the case database of Harvard Business School in May 2022.

Professor Zhang obtained his Ph.D. in Management Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. He received a Master and Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Finance at Nankai University and a postdoctoral fellow in Applied Economics at Fudan University.
